St John Paul II Catholic Primary School supports the Mandate of the Bishops and the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia to further the mission of the Church by making Catholic school education available to all Catholic children, as far as resources allow.
While an offer of a position is at the discretion of the Principal, the Principal takes into consideration the following criteria as outlined by the CEWA Enrolment Policy:
- Catholic students from the parish with a Parish Priest reference
- Catholic students from outside the parish with a Parish Priest reference
- Other Catholic students
- Siblings of non-Catholic students
- Non-Catholic students from other Christian denominations
- Other non-Catholic students.
The Principal may vary the above priorities to suit particular local considerations after prior consultation with the Director of Catholic Education and written confirmation of the outcome.
An application form needs to be completed for each child seeking a place at St John Paul II Catholic Primary School. Accompanying the application form must be a copy of the child’s birth certificate, baptism certificate and immunisation record. A copy of the child’s current school report will also be required. An interview for parents and the child will then be made with the school Principal before a confirmed place at the school is offered.
